石榴石又名為“玉砂”或“天然金鋼”，具有較強的硬度和很好的耐酸耐堿性，是一種島狀結構的鋁(鈣)矽酸鹽，目前，經高純磁造出的有灰、紅、綠、白等多種染色體，常見的石榴石因其化學成分而確認為六種，分別為紅榴石、鐵鋁石榴石、錳鋁石榴石、鈣鐵石榴石、鈣鋁石榴石及鈣烙石榴石。特點：耐磨度強，熔點高，比重大，性能穩定，硬度：7-8。密度：3.5-4.3克/立方厘米

外觀：紅綠黑顆粒狀，是由島狀結構的鋁（鈣）矽酸鹽礦物質加工而成的。

用途：

石榴石磨料采用高品質巖石礦鐵鋁石榴石為原料，按照最高質量標準進行加工，在石榴石純度、粒度、密度、硬度及使用壽命等方麵均十分理想。鐵鋁石榴石又稱紅榴石，目前國內鐵鋁石榴石主要分佈在山東日照等地。具有較低的損耗率和較高的生產效率，是代替石英砂、銅渣、煤渣、棕剛玉、鋼砂及鋼丸、玻璃珠等的經濟有效的產品。由於其優異的韌性和較低的脆性，視具體應用場合不同，最高可循環使用6-10次。石榴石磨料不含遊離矽、重金屬和有毒成分，能滿足職業健康和安全要求。石榴石磨料氯化物含量為10-15ppm，能夠滿足最為嚴格的工業和軍工技術要求。石榴石磨料能夠深入孔洞和凹凸不平的部位進行清理，徹底去除銹蝕、可溶性鹽等污物。噴砂處理過的表麵無嵌入物，沒有不利的凸尖和凹坑，能夠獲得SA3白色金屬，表麵粗糙度可達50-75微米，60-95微米。石榴石磨料經過6遍水洗，灰塵含量極低，噴砂時揚塵小，能大大改善工作環境
