金剛砂的性質：

金剛砂分子式為SiC，金剛砂硬度介於剛玉和金剛石之間，機械強度高於剛玉，金剛砂可作為磨料和其他某些工業材料使用。工業用碳化矽於1891年研制成功，是最早的人造磨料。在隕石和地殼中雖有少量碳化矽存在，但迄今尚未找到可供開采的礦源。

人造金剛砂制成工藝：

人造金剛砂以鋁釩土、焦碳為主要原料，在電弧爐內經高溫冶煉而成，主要化學成分為Al203、Ti02還含有少量的Si02和Fe203等。

金剛砂用途

(1)金剛砂作為磨料，可用來做磨具，如砂輪、油石、磨頭、砂瓦類等。

(2)金剛砂作為冶金脫氧劑和耐高溫材料。碳化矽主要有四大應用領域,即: 功能陶瓷、高級耐火材料、磨料及冶金原料。目前碳化矽粗料已能大量供應, 不能算高新技術產品,而技術含量極高的納米級碳化矽粉體的應用短時間不可能形成規模經濟。

(3)高純度的單晶，可用於制造半導體、制造碳化矽纖維。主要用途：用於3—12英寸單晶矽、多晶矽、砷化鉀、石英晶體等線切割。太陽能光伏產業、半導體產業、壓電晶體產業工程性加工材料。

1、金剛砂，即骨料。為砂狀，一種不生銹的非金屬性骨料，平均粒徑為1.5mm，約占總量60%，硬度在莫氏8度以上；

3、金剛砂地麵的顏色除采用水泥本色外還有紅、黃、綠、灰、藍及復合色等多種色彩可供選擇，本工程地麵選用藍灰色。
