以燃燒時間6小時為例：

   標準設定：使用時非常省力，隻要簡單的拿掉旋口蓋點燃燈芯，無需做任何調整，可以燃燒6個小時，持續整個自助餐。此溫度設定提供大多數食品服務所需的理想溫度。適用於自助餐鍋、活動餐車及大多數加熱設備。
   高溫設定：點燃前，用手指捏住燈芯，輕輕向上拔起直到燈芯停滯，分開燈芯然後點燃。在此種設定狀態下，燃燒時間持續3小時。此溫度設定可提供烹飪食物，將水煮沸的高溫，適用於火鍋服務及其它需要高溫加熱的地方。
   低溫設定：點燃前，用手指輕輕捏住燈芯，然後往下壓。這樣足以燃燒8小時。此設定提供微溫食品和持續保溫的足夠溫度，最適於客房服務及遠送快餐。
