使分離的料漿以一定的壓力從水力旋流器上部周邊切向進入旋流器內。產生強烈的旋轉運動，由於大小顆粒之間存在著粒度差異，所受的離心力、向心浮力和流體曳力大小不同。受離心沉降作用。大顆粒受離心力較大，沉降到器壁，由底流口排出，小顆粒則由頂部溢流管排出，從而達到分級或濃縮的目的。
根據原礦雜質含量、粒度分佈、處理能力等情況確定使用旋流器的型號、規格、數量。一般需要幾種規格不同的旋流器串聯方能達到工藝要求。
This machine make separation pulp with some pressure enter into Hydro-cyclone along tangential way from the top rim of Hydro-cyclone , and lead to strong cyclone moving , because different size among granuale , they get different centrifugal, buoyancy to the centre ,fluid drag force , for the force of centrifugal and sedimental , bigger granule get bigger centrifugal and sediment on wall of tube and discharge from the outlet of bottom ,smaller granule overflow by pipe from the top , in the end , the materail be graded and condensed.
