由於燙壓機有不同，燙壓時需要試壓，調整合適的溫度、時間、壓力來達到理想的燙印效果。

燙印主要是采用加熱和加壓的方法，完成這項工藝，需要一臺燙壓機，刻有文字或圖案的模板（此處模板指雕刻板——凸出部分應高於2.5mm），加熱所需溫度，並保持適當的壓力相應的時間。建議使用電腦雕刻銅板。
