ng>增碳劑介紹ng>
分煉鋼用增碳劑（中華人民共和國黑色冶金行業標準，YB/T 192-2001煉鋼用增碳劑）和鑄鐵用增碳劑，以及其他一些添加材料也有用到增碳劑，譬如剎車片用添加劑，作摩擦材料。增碳劑屬於外加煉鋼、煉鐵增碳原料。優質增碳劑是生產優質鋼材必不可少的輔助添加劑。
增碳劑的原料有很多種，生產工藝也各異，有木質碳類，煤質碳類，焦炭類，石墨類等，其中各種分類下又有很多小種類。優質增碳劑一般指經過石墨化的增碳劑，在高溫條件下，碳原子的排列呈石墨的微觀形態，所以稱之為石墨化。石墨化可以降低增碳劑中雜質的含量，提高增碳劑的碳含量，降低硫含量。 增碳劑在鑄造時使用，可大幅度增加廢鋼用量，減少生鐵用量或不用生鐵。電爐熔煉的投料方式，應將增碳劑隨廢鋼等爐料一起往裡投放，小劑量的添加可以選擇加在鐵水表麵。但是要避免大批量往鐵水裡投料，以防止氧化過多而出現增碳效果不明顯和鑄件碳含量不夠的情況。增碳劑的加入量，根據其他原材料的配比和含碳量來定。不同種類的鑄鐵，根據需要選擇不同型號的增碳劑。增碳劑特點本身選擇純凈的含碳石墨化物質，降低生鐵裡過多的雜質，增碳劑選擇合適可降低鑄件生產成本。
ng>碳劑的使用ng>
在冶煉過程中，由於配料或裝料不當以及脫碳過量等原因，有時造成鋼中碳含量沒有達到頂期的要求，這時要向鋼液中增碳。常用的增碳劑有增碳生鐵、電療粉、石油焦粉、木炭粉和焦炭粉。轉爐冶煉中、高碳鋼種時，使用含雜質很少的石油焦作為增碳劑。對頂吹轉爐煉鋼用增碳劑的要求是固定碳要高，灰分、揮發分和硫、磷、氮等雜質含量要低，且乾燥、乾凈、粒度適中。
其固定碳組分為：
w(C)>96%，揮發分≤1.0%，w(S)≤0.5%，w(水分)≤0.55%，粒度為1一5mm.
粒度太細容易燒損，太粗加入後浮在鋼液表麵，不容易被鋼水吸收。針對感應電爐的顆粒度在0.2-6mm，其中鋼和其他黑色金屬顆粒度在1.4-9.5mm，高碳鋼要求低氮，顆粒度在 0.5-5mm，等等具體需要根據具體的爐型冶煉工件的種類等等細節具體判斷和選用。
ng>增碳劑的作用ng>
用於鑄造，鑄鐵、鑄鋼，鑄件會有對碳的一個要求，那麼增碳劑顧名思義就是來增加鐵液中的碳含量，又比如說，在熔煉中常用爐料為生鐵、廢鋼、回爐料，生鐵的碳含量高，但是卻采購價格相對廢鋼來說是要高出一節的，所以增加廢鋼投放量，降低生鐵投放量，加增碳劑，能起到一定的降低鑄件成本的作用。
