Its solar cells generate 2.4watts of power. The power is stored in a lightweight Li lon rechargeable battery, which can provide a steady stream of charge to your gadgets, even when the backpack is out of the sun. The battery can also be charge utilizing mains electricity through the AC adaptor provided. The solar panel is lightweight and highly durable –it is designed to withstand the rigours of everyday life.

Charging the Battery
Charging from the UF Solar Backpack
Connect the battery using the mini-USB connecting cable into the “in” socket on the battery .The battery should fully charge from flat in about eight hours in ideal conditions.

使用mini-USB連接線插入標示“in”的接口以便連接電池盒，理想狀態下，電池盒需要8個小時才能完全被充滿。
Charging Using Mains Power7
Connect the retractable USB cable to the AC adaptor plug at one end to the mini –USB adaptor at the other end. Plug the mini-USB connector into the battery and connect to the mains. The battery should fully charge from flat in about three hours.

請將環保USB連接線一端連接至AC適配器，另一端連接電池盒的mini-USB接口，再將AC適配器連接到交流電。這種情況下，電池盒通常需要三小時才能完全充滿。

When the battery is first plugged in all four lights will flash five times and then it will begin to charge .The lights will gradually move up the battery meter and will give an indication of the amount of charge that is currently held.
當第一次使用電池盒時，4個指示燈將會同時閃5次，然後開始工作並充電。隨著充電的進度，指示燈會沿著電池容量刻度依次變亮，並顯示當前已充滿的電池容量。
The four lights each represent roughly 25% of the battery’s capacity, and they will light up sequentially throughout the charging process. For example, if the battery meter moves up to the third light it means the battery is roughly between 50% and 70% full
四個指示燈，每一個指示燈代表25%的電池總容量，它們會隨著充電的進程逐一變亮。比如，如果指示燈顯示到刻度表的第三盞燈，則表明當前電池盒大概充滿瞭50%-75%的電量。
When charging an empty battery, only the first light on the battery meter will activate and it will flash intermittently. once sufficient power has been generated .the second light will also begin to flash .This process is continued until all 4 lights flash.
當為一塊空的電池盒充電時，隻有刻度表上的第一盞指示燈會閃爍。當充滿足夠的電量（25%）時，第二盞指示燈就會開始閃爍。這個過程一直會持續到第四盞指示燈閃爍。
The battery is full when all four lights cease flashing and stay fully illuminated until the battery is unplugged. Please note that all four lights will go out after a period of time, even if the battery is still plugged in.
當四盞指示燈都停止閃爍並持續保持明亮狀態時（除非充電線被拔出而無法保持明亮狀態），說明電池盒已經被充滿瞭。但請註意在充滿的狀態下，四盞燈會將會在一段時間後熄滅，即便電池盒的充電線仍然處於連接狀態。
Problem Identification
常見問題識別與解決
If all four lights flash simultaneously there is either not enough natural light to deliver charge or the connection is incomplete. If this happens, move to an area with more natural light and/or disconnect the battery and connect again making sure the battery and all connectors are clean and firmly joined.
如果四盞燈同時不斷閃爍，由兩種原因造成，要麼是沒有充足的光源產生電源，要麼是連接線接觸不良。如果遇到這種情況發生，請將背包以及太陽能電板移至光源充足的地方或者拔出連接線再重新連接，並確認所有的接口都是清潔的並且連接良好。
Optimum Battery Charge Conditions
For optimum results, place the backpack in direct sunlight with the solar panels positioned towards the sun and make sure the solar panel is clean. In good conditions the battery will fully charge from flat in 8-10 hours.

The battery stores any power generated by the solar panels until required to charge a device so it is important to maintain the battery connect to the solar panels whenever possible

Firstly, selec the retractable USB cable and plug this firmly into the battery “out” socket.
Secondly, choose the adaptor that fits your device and plug it in to the end of the retractable USB cable, then simply connect to your device .For Apple devices please use your standard Apple connectivity cable .
The battery meter on your device will confirm charging is in progress.
