SD-09個人劑量機可監測X、γ輻射引起的個人累積劑量當量Hp(10)和個人劑量當量率Hp(10)。劑量當量、劑量當量率和累計工作時間值可通過按鍵切換由LCD顯示讀出。累積劑量和劑量率超閾值時給出聲、光報警及LCD指示。測量數據即時儲存，且掉電不丟失。記錄數據通過紅外通訊方式傳輸至讀出器，由讀出器經RS485接口方式輸送到計算機（工作站）。劑量機可單獨使用，也可與讀出器和計算機管理系統網絡組合應用。
