It has five megapixels of pure viewing power with maximum resolution of 2592x1944 providing overwhelming details fitted into a small handheld microscope package (The 5 megapixel Dino-Lite models require the third-party MJPEG codec to be installed. DinoCapture will check for the MJPEG codec and alert the user if it is missing. Because of the higher hardware demands, the frame rate will depend on the resources available to the system.
