纖維濾料是由滌綸、丙綸或者腈綸絲紮結而成的球形濾料，具有彈性效果好，不上浮水麵，空隙大，工作周期長，水頭損失小等優點。廣泛使用與各種水處理行業。
纖維球主要分為普通纖維球和改性纖維球。改性纖維球適用於油田含油污水的精細過濾，也適用於其它工業廢水的精細過濾。改性纖維球去除油及有機物的機理為：直接攔截、慣性攔截和電化吸附。濾前水質含油≤15mg/L，懸浮物≤10mg/L；濾後水質含油≤5mg/L，懸浮物≤2mg/L。
纖維球是由纖維絲紮結而成的球形濾料，它與傳統的鋼性濾料相比，具有彈性效果好，不上浮水麵，空隙大，工作周期長，水頭損失小等優點。在過濾過程中，濾層空隙沿水流方向逐漸變小，比較符合理想濾料由上大下小的孔隙率分佈，從而形成瞭濾速快，截污容量大，過濾效果好，可再生反復使用，不必全部更換，省時省力等優點。
纖維球濾料，可將不易沉淀去除的微小懸浮物截留。濾速比傳統砂濾料高3.5倍，濾料能反洗再生，可實現自動化管理，一般濾速30m/h，粗濾進水100mg/l，出水SS≤5mg/l，精濾進水20mg/l，出水≤2mg/l。廣泛應用於油田、化工、電力、冶金等行業的高標用水，循環，旁濾和廢水回收利用。

纖維球用於油田、化工、電力、冶金等行業的高標用水、循環、旁濾和廢水回收利用；纖維球用於油田含油污水的精細過濾；纖維球用於其它工業廢水的精細過濾；纖維球用於油田、石化加工，印染等行業污水處理中。
由於纖維球為易燃品，在儲存過程中應選用陰涼、遠離火源處，定期對消防設施進行安全檢查，以防止發生火災。
纖維球在運輸過程中，不得用鐵鉤拖拽，應防止與堅硬物質混裝，不可強烈振動、磨擦、踩、砸，嚴禁拋擲，應輕裝輕卸，以減少破碎，影響使用。
